The Community Schemes Ombud Service, or CSOS, was established in terms of the Community Schemes Ombud Service Act, 2011 (Act No 9 of 2011) to regulate the conduct of parties within community schemes and to create an affordable dispute resolution mechanism for those residing within sectional title schemes and home owners associations. Registration with CSOS is required for all community schemes, such as sectional title schemes and home owners’ associations.
